Niantic and New London, CT (September 2025)
After my day trip to Essex in June I took a bit of a break from travelling around New England. This was partly due to depression and partly due to the despicable summer heat, which compels me to burrow into the cool darkness. I did manage to get out for a day trip in September while I was on paid time off, which I spent visiting Niantic and New London.
Niantic
Usually when I'm in Niantic it's to visit the Book Barn, but this time around I stopped for ice cream and went to the boardwalk.
New London
I hadn't spent much time in New London before, and to be honest I didn't stay terribly long on this trip either, but I did get to poke around downtown to visit a few galleries and see the Custom House, where they were hosting an exhibit on the Amistad.
